The garments of six Peruvian designers will be part of the collection exhibited by the concept store 10 Corso Como.
Pride, creativity and talent! Six Peruvian designers will exhibit their creations in the fashion capital of the world: Milan, Italy. From November 24 to December 8, the Peruvian brands Ana G. (the painting of Ana Maria Guiulfo), Annaiss Yucra (the black sheep), Ayni (the historical knitwear), Claudia Bertolero (style and nature), Meche Correa (the millenary tradition) and Kuna (the warmth of the Alpaca) will be exhibiting at 10 Corso Como, an iconic avant-garde concept store in the global fashion industry.
Under the name “Pop-up Peru,” the event is a brilliant opportunity for Peruvian fashion studios, since being selected within the curatorship of the concept store is a recognition that guarantees the creativity of their designs, the quality of their manufacturing and the originality of their collections. Not only does it put the brands that converge there on the fashion map, but it is also a way of certifying their value and attracting the eyes of the whole planet.
10 Corso Como is a pioneering brand in the world of high-end retail. The original, in Milan, began its life in 1990, when Carla Sozzani left behind the world of fashion magazines to open a gallery in a converted garage. The following year, the gallery was joined by a store offering designer and fashion items. It’s no exaggeration to say that when Sozzani created it, she helped coin the idea of a “concept store.” The original goal, she says, was to create a “virtual 3D magazine,” somewhere between the department store and the intimate salon, where visitors would take away a cultural experience, not so much a physical item.
Thanks to this origin, 10 Corso Como is composed of a network of spaces that create a single experience: a meeting place, a union between culture and commerce. Visitors and customers move from one space to another: from the gallery to the bookshop; from the design and fashion store to the restaurant. In addition, visitors can relax in the courtyard garden or stay in the three-room hotel, all within the same philosophy of 10 Corso Como.
The event, in pop up format, will allow Peruvian brands to attract greater exposure to an eager fashion clientele, have specialized fashion outlets in the best capitals of the world, be exposed to the best brands in the world, have the seal of guarantee and confidence of Carla Sozzani, as well as to create exclusive collaborations for the boutique and have a global impact within the luxury, fashion and design industry.
